Odisha is one of India's most extraordinary heritage landscapes, and one of its most underread. From the Kalinga period temples of Bhubaneswar to the Buddhist monasteries of Ratnagiri, from the rock-cut caves of Udayagiri to the living artisan village of Raghurajpur — the region holds centuries of artistic, architectural, and cultural memory that most travellers never reach.

Our Approach

We do not do guided tours in the conventional sense. We do not move from monument to monument with a script.

Instead, we build experiences around context. Around understanding why a temple was built the way it was, what the carvings are actually saying, how a city like Bhubaneswar has layered a thousand years of history into a single walkable landscape. We move slowly, ask questions, and stay long enough in each place for it to begin to make sense.

Our Heritage Experiences

Bhubaneswar is known as the City of Temples — and with good reason. But beyond its famous shrines lies a city of extraordinary layered history. This experience moves through the old temple district, the medieval tank landscape, the artisan quarters, and the forgotten corners of a city that has been continuously inhabited for over a millennium. This is Bhubaneswar as it deserves to be seen.

Ekamra Trails — Temple Circuit A curated walk through the historic Ekamra Kshetra, the sacred precinct that forms the ancient heart of Bhubaneswar. Moving through clusters of temples built between the 7th and 13th centuries, this walk unpacks the architectural evolution of the Kalinga style and the stories embedded in stone across every surface. Raghurajpur — The Living Heritage Village Raghurajpur is one of India's few surviving hereditary artisan villages, where every family practises a traditional craft — pattachitra painting, palm leaf manuscript work, stone carving, or Gotipua dance. This is not a cultural performance. It is a living tradition, and this experience places you inside it.

Buddhist Heritage Trail A journey through Odisha's Buddhist landscape — from the Dhauli peace pagoda, site of the Kalinga war that transformed Ashoka, to the excavated monastery complexes of Ratnagiri, Udayagiri, and Lalitgiri. Many years of walking these streets, documenting these temples, and listening to the people who have lived alongside this history have taught us one thing above all — that these places reveal themselves slowly, and only to those who are willing to stay a little longer than is comfortable.

Best Time to Visit

October to March is ideal for heritage walks — cool mornings, clear light, and manageable crowds. Many of Bhubaneswar's most significant temple festivals fall between November and February, offering rare opportunities to witness living ritual alongside architectural history.
